Chaine Dinner March 15th 2008.03.05

Chaine Invitation letter Gala Dinner 15th March 2008

Dear Members

According to our normally efficient advance planning, our March Dinner was to have taken place at the lovely Shilla Hotel - a return to a venue which we have missed for the past few years.  I am sure many of you were looking forward with excitement to seeing once again what the Shilla could do for us.

But alas, even the best laid plans of mice and men may go astray and in this Year of the Mouse (I prefer mice to rats) that axiom has already proved to be apt.

Thanks to our Bailli Delegue, Bernhard Brender, the Shilla¡¯s last minute and quite unexpected withdrawal has been matched with the alacrity of good contingency planning and we have a rather special and different experience in store for you on 15th March.

So on that day your Board and Chef Sortino will be welcoming you to the Villa Sortino in Itaewon for what will, we are sure, prove to be an enriching and enjoyable evening. For those who are not sure of the location, the restaurant, which opened just six months ago, is on the North side of the main Itaewon street, between the fire station crossroad and the Cheil Communications building.

Capacity is limited and so on this occasion we have to limit the attendance to members and their partners.

* DRESS CODE

On this special occasion we are varying the dress code. Instead of Black Tie/Long Gown the code will be business attire. But you should not forget your Chaine.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 15th!

Respectfully yours,
